$3 Indian Princess Head
The $3 Indian Princess gold coin was first minted in 1854 and, although contined to be produced through 1889, it never found favor with the public and therefore these coins saw relatively little circulation. The coins were saved by speculators of the day, however, and so high grade specimens are still rather plentiful today.
