$20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
Considered by many to be the most beautiful U.S. coin ever stuck, the $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle was minted between 1907 and 1933. The 1907 minting was unique in that a "high relief" version was struck for about the first 12,000 coins. These also featured the date represented in Roman numerals. Later that year, however, the "flat-relief" strikes began along with Arabic numerals, and these continued throughout the remainder of its minting.
