$10 Liberty Head Eagles
Minted between 1838 and 1907, the $10 Liberty Head Eagle was produced in two designs. The first version known as "No Motto", did not contain the motto "In God We Trust" within a ribbon above the eagle on the coin's reverse. These were minted from 1838-1866. In 1866, the design was altered to include a ribbon containing the motto. The coin continued to bear this latter design through the rest of it's minting until it was retired in 1907.
